The DAME - Design Award is the most prestigious worldwide competition, concerning marine equipment and accessories. These awards intend to highlight the most innovative products, in terms of design, styling and functionality.
The 2019 edition was held in Amsterdam and counted on several submissions from the largest number of countries so far. The competition was high and 17 contestants received Special Mentions.
From all the winners of the 7 categories, the DAME Overall Winner prize went to U SAFE, along with the Lifesaving and Safety Equipment category prize.
DAME Awards jury assigned U SAFE the best design practice in the industry, as an inventive upgrade of the traditional life-saving ring.
The technology and u-shaped design of the U SAFE ensures a higher success when saving lives, with less risk to rescuers.

Noras Group, the Portuguese institution that created the U SAFE buoy, announced that its innovative human rescue system was recognized today in New York, out of more than 2,100 applications worldwide.
CES Innovation Awards Program, owned and produced by the Consumer Technology Association (CTA)®, is an annual competition that honors outstanding design and engineering in 28 consumer technology product categories.
An elite panel of judges, industry experts, including members of the media, designers, engineers, and others, reviewed submissions based on innovation, engineering and functionality, aesthetics and design.
